We place a strong emphasis on building and practicing the skills and self-management strategies in real-time that enable clients to build a life in alignment with their values and achieve long-term recovery.

Robin Morgan, LCSW, CCTP
Robin Morgan comes to the Nashville Outpatient Center with a varied professional background as a behavioral health clinician working in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department settings with a variety of populations, and as a leader in behavioral health operations and non-profit management.
Most recently, she served as Director of Clinical Integration at TrustPoint Hospital where she oversaw the growth of multiple departments through a significant facility expansion. She is also active in the community, currently serving as the Co-Chair of the Mental Health Vision Council of the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties. She relocated to Tennessee in 2014 from Boston, MA where she worked as a psychotherapist for the Center for Infectious Diseases at Boston Medical Center providing counseling to individuals from adolescents to seniors living with HIV.
She completed her Master of Social Work at Boston University, where she received the Herbert S. Strean Memorial Prize for excellence in clinical practice. Prior to completing her MSW, she worked for more than a decade in non-profit management and fundraising including serving as the Interim Executive Director for the Family-to-Family Project, an organization working to prevent and reverse family homelessness. In addition to her MSW, she earned a Bachelor of Arts, Phi Beta Kappa from Johns Hopkins University, in anthropology, and a Master of Arts in ethnomusicology from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Beth Siller, MMFT, DTI
Beth’s professional journey began in 2006 as a Dance Teacher, Drama Teacher, and Co-Lead Teacher in Early Childhood Education in South Florida where she grew up. Over the past 15 years, she has worked collaboratively with diverse groups of children, parents, co-parents, and families in a variety of settings helping children manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. After 10 years of living in Los Angeles, Beth decided to make a big move by relocating to Nashville Tennessee on January 1, 2020. Since then, her professional experiences have expanded quite significantly. She has worked at the Akiva School as their School Counselor, opened her own private practice called Arts and Hearts Therapy, LLC, and has done group therapy with Standing Tall Music City for at-risk male youth ages 14-18 years of age. Beth currently treats children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Beth is a proud ally and advocate for the LQBTQIA+ community and works hard toward ending the stigma of mental illnesses, disorders and diagnoses of any kind. Beth’s creative approach to therapy includes Drama, Play, Storytelling, Sand Tray, Music and Movement, Parts Work, Art and so much more. She holds a B.A. in theater from Southern Connecticut State University, and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from The ChicagoSchool of Professional Psychology.
AJ Shoemaker, LMSW
AJ Shoemaker is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a background working as a clinical social worker in inpatient psychiatric care, inpatient physical rehabilitation, and intensive outpatient programming where he was able to work with a variety of populations. His most recent focus was on adolescent psychiatric needs, but also has an extensive history working with both the adult and young adult populations including military personnel. He specializes in the treatment of mental health disorders primarily through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while also building upon Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills. He relocated to Tennessee in 2016 from South Carolina where he received his Bachelor’s in psychology from Coastal Carolina University, and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. In his free time, AJ thoroughly enjoys watching baseball and college football, particularly the University of South Carolina Gamecocks!
Lina Roberts, LCSW
Lina Roberts is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who comes to this program following a 20-year career at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital where she specialized in adolescent and young adult health needs. She worked in inpatient and outpatient settings to meet the needs of patients and families in the Nashville and surrounding area. She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, and depression through modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Prior to her work at Vanderbilt, she was the clinical therapist for group homes that worked with at-risk adolescents in the Nashville area.
Lina is a native Nashvillian who received her master’s degree at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana where she began her career working at Columbia DuPaul Psychiatric Hospital treating adolescents.
Maddie Emler, MS, RD, LDN
Maddie is a graduate of Samford University where she completed her Dietetic Internship and obtained her M.S. in Nutrition. She is passionate about helping individuals find what works best for them and their lifestyles. She understands that each individual client has unique needs and goals. Maddie uses motivational interviewing techniques in her nutrition counseling to help empower clients to reach their goals. She also practices within the philosophies of intuitive eating and Health at Every Size. She loves to travel and you will most likely catch her backpacking on the weekends.
Kelly Ownby, MD
Dr. Ownby is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Furman University in Greenville, SC., and completed her residency in psychiatry at James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. In addition to serving as a Chief Resident of Psychiatry, Dr. Ownby has served in a psychiatric role in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, addiction treatment center, outpatient and residential mental health treatment. She has been a guest presenter for the healthcare field on numerous topics including Diagnosis and Treatment of Psychiatric Disorders During Pregnancy, Psychopharmacology, and Psychiatric Medications. Dr. Ownby also serves as Remote Area Medical team member in East Tennessee. She has a passion for addiction treatment, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and women’s health. With over 12 years of experience in the mental health field, she feels that people should be educated about their illnesses and treatment options so they can be empowered to make the best decisions with their providers.
Dr. Tom Scales
As the attending psychiatrist/physician for Selah House, Selah House Outpatient, and Toledo Center for Eating Disorders, Dr. Scales provides psychiatric and medical care to our clients. He is a diplomat in the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and in Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Dr. Scales completed his undergraduate training at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, followed by medical school at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He completed his residency training in a combined Internal Medicine/Psychiatry program at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He is passionate about helping those with eating disorders and has made numerous community presentations and local media appearances regarding the topic. Dr. Scales was the radio show host of a live web-based program entitled “Understanding Eating Disorders” which occurred weekly on www.health.voiceamerica.com and featured professionals and laypeople as guests in the eating disorder field. Most importantly, he is a husband and proud father of two children.
Yvonne Creighton DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC
Yvonne Creighton is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) as well as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Austin Peay State University, and a post-master’s certificate in PHMHNP from Maryville University of St. Louis. Most recently, Yvonne completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Maryville University. Her DNP scholarly project was aimed at reducing the negative consequences of problematic alcohol and drug use. Yvonne has been an assistant professor at MTSU for seven years, teaching a wide range of clinical nursing courses. She currently teaches Mental Health Nursing to BSN nursing students and developed the new PMHNP track in the MSN program at MTSU. With a background in critical care nursing, Yvonne understands the complex interaction between physical and mental health. She believes that developing a therapeutic alliance between the patient and provider is a key component in helping patients achieve their goals.
Eliana is an ambitious, goal orientated administrator with 13 years of experience in the medical industry. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Grand Canyon University and continued to deliver quality patient care. Throughout her experiences, she has dealt with many cases involving a wide variety of administrative and management duties including, preparing several team members in learning quality care and the importance of business obligations. Her intentions are always to create the most positive environment for patients as well as to support a strong foundation for the team.
Dana comes to Pasadena Villa with experience in behavioral and crisis management, psychiatric case management and program outreach. She has worked with clients through the admissions process to ensure verification of benefits, paperwork completion, and policy and program implementation. Dana has an extensive background in customer service, and has both a personal and professional devotion to the field of mental health. She has a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University.
