Pasadena Villa Outpatient provides clients and families a level of care in which treatment does not require a prolonged stay. All of our locations specialize in treating adults (18 years or older) who struggle with various mental illnesses, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and co-occurring autism spectrum disorder.
We place a strong emphasis on learning and practicing coping skills, life skills, and self-management strategies, to address here-and-now difficulties and build a life worth living.
As part of the Pasadena Villa Psychiatric Treatment Network, we believe everyone can learn, grow, and recover. At Pasadena Villa Outpatient, we have the responsibility to do whatever possible to prepare people for life after treatment.

Partial Hospitalization Program
A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is the most comprehensive outpatient program available.
At the Pasadena Villa Outpatient Centers, our program provides a supportive environment to discover ways to recognize and manage psychiatric symptoms. We place a strong emphasis on building and practicing new self-management strategies that help promote independence and autonomy. We use a comprehensive approach to treatment that includes the following:
At each of our outpatient centers, we provide customized care that is designed to meet each client’s specific needs and unique goals. We understand that people are not their diagnosis; they are a mixture of all that has happened and their future journeys. Because of this, our clinical team of board-certified psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, registered art therapists, and licensed professional counselors’ partner with clients and families to design a treatment plan that offers the skills needed for a successful pathway to recovery.
Our clinical team provides an intensive treatment plan that allows each client to explore and use new ways to enjoy life. In a supportive and healing environment, we use the whole-person approach to assist in the recovery process using evidence-based modalities that facilitate progress from clinical care towards independent self-care.
We begin the treatment process with the primary therapist conducting a comprehensive assessment that upon permission from the client includes consultation with the client’s prescriber, psychotherapist, significant others and other service providers. Our experienced psychiatrists oversee all treatment, conduct psychiatric evaluations, and provide careful medication management as needed. Our psychiatrists communicate with the community prescriber ensuring medication changes fit within their treatment plan.
Seeking treatment is the first step on your recovery journey, and we understand the sensitive nature that surrounds the admissions process. Our outpatient admission team members are directly available during business hours while our national team serves as confidential back-up during the evening hours and weekends. Our admissions staff are dedicated to responding in a compassionate and timely manner to provide you with the help you need.
